About Me

Hey there! My name is Ashley & I am the author of this sweet lil' blog.

I am married to handsome Matthew & together we adopted the coolest kid on the planet, John Ivory.  We live in Las Vegas, Nevada where Matthew works full time & I stay at home with our son (which is also a full time job!!)!!  We have started the foster care journey out here and cannot wait to add more tiny O'Briens to our tribe!

We are Christians saved by grace.  We put all of our trust in Jesus Christ and love the Lord with everything we have!

May God Bless Your Adventures!!!

  3. I came across your blog from a Pintrest posting and can't stop thanking the Father for allowing me to come across this special adventure. My husband and I are on an adventure as well and began a blog for others just like us who might not have time to blog full time or are just in need of "writer's therapy" to just get their story out. Please visit our site and see what we're about: http://waitingforbabystoriesblog.blogspot.com/2012/08/waiting-for-baby-begins.html
We would LOVE to have you as a featured writer as we have several readers who are in the process of adopting and would be so encouraged by your story. Please contact me at: waitingforbabystories@gmail.com and we can talk more. Thank you for blessing the world wide web with your adventure story!~Kassie

  4. I just came across your blog as well on Pinterest. Our family also grew through God's calling with adoption. Its absolutely amazing how God provides. I just read your about your 'Sweet Chocolate Baby, Please' (eek, I think? anyway about AA adoption) I was so excited for you and will add you to my prayer list since we too, were called specifically into AA adoption. Our youngest baby, Joshua, is black and let me tell you, becoming a biracial family has been pretty awesome. Our agency is through FL and we plan to begin another process in June, should God give us the green light and the green stuff to begin! LOL I wanted to encourage you regarding the finances. No matter how many adoptions you have been through or if its your very first, that financial need is just there. Its a major faith builder and sometimes it is just nice to know that someone is praying for your hearts as you wait on the Lord's provision. I'm all about the encouraging word and the laughter that helps you wipe the tears as you journey down this road! My blog is textmessagestogod.blogspot.com I pray that the Lord continues to give you peace and financial provisions are fast and furious! God, SHOW THESE PEOPLE THE MONEY! AMEN!!!
